HCMC Proposes 3 Fireworks Locations for New Year 2025

To meet the entertainment needs of residents and tourists during the New Year's Eve celebrations in 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to grant permission for Ho Chi Minh City to organize a fireworks display for the 2025 New Year .

On December 5th, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City officially submitted a request to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for permission to organize a spectacular fireworks display to welcome the new year 2025 at three locations: Saigon River in Thu Duc, Dam Sen Park, and Van Phuc Urban Area.

One high-altitude viewing point is located near the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel in Thu Duc City. Two low-altitude viewing points are Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 and Van Phuc urban area in Thu Duc City.

At the high-altitude point at the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel, it is planned to use 1,500 high-altitude artillery shells, 30 low-altitude artillery launchers, and 10 pyrotechnic displays.

Two low-altitude firing points at Dam Sen Park and Van Phuc Urban Area each used 90 low-altitude fireworks displays.

The fireworks display will take place from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025. The program will last 15 minutes.

In addition to fireworks, the city also plans to hold a New Year's Eve countdown party for 2025 on the night of December 31st at locations such as Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Ben Bach Dang park, and the Saigon River area.

Additionally, Districts 12, Tan Phu, Binh Tan and the districts of Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be, and Can Gio will organize diverse artistic performances on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
